Linux & Solaris UNIX and Essentials

UNIX and Linux together hosts more than 75% of all the database and Application running today. It is therefore important that an ICT graduate understands these basic fundamentals as they join the market place. It is clear that the practical knowledge acquired from the collage on this product is not enough to give a new graduate confidence to face the employment market place or even be self-employed. We have therefore come up with a practical skill development training program for fresh graduates who want to develop their career in system and application administration, database administration, developers, system security auditors, support engineers etc. We will develop the basic UNIX skills needed to interact comfortably and confidently with the operating system.Because we focus on skills development this focus on more practical than theory. That is why we have made it a five day course instead of the normal 3 days. Participants will develop skills in the following areas among others:- How to manage files and directories from the command line to performing remote connections and file transfers, Manage data security on directories and files, protect files and directories through archiving, and manipulate data through shell scripts for system administration and programmers. Perform more advanced tasks in the UNIX and Linux operating systems. This course will give you intensive, hands-on experience. The end goal is to prepare users and administrators to perform more advanced tasks in the Unix and Linux operating systems.
